Job summary

Toromont Cat in Hamilton is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our team. As you progress, you will learn on the job with our experienced Technicians, gradually advancing toward a Licensed Technician opportunity.

This full-time, permanent position offers on-the-job training, a pathway to licensure, and opportunities across Eastern Canada with competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma is required.
• Enrollment in or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives.
• Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for customers in a timely and economical manner.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment.
• Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Meet internal and external customer needs in a professional, team-oriented environment.

Toromont Cat is looking for an Apprentice Technicians to join our team at Hamilton! Our Registered Apprentice Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$34.99 - $44.98
