Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join the team at Barrie Volkswagen. You will perform general vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, assist the Automotive Service Technician, and ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready.

Qualifications

• Strong product knowledge.
• Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technician experience an asset.
• General Service Department experience an asset.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License with 3+ years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
• Assist the Automotive Service Technician as necessary.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional maintenance or safety work is required or recommended.
• Road test vehicles as required.
• Restock supplies in the Service Department.
• Tag replaced parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Keep up-to-date on manufacturer technical bulletins.
