Seaboard Transport Group is seeking Apprentice Mechanics in Sarnia, ON. Join a family-owned team focused on safe, reliable transportation across road, shop, and office environments.

You will perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and participate in safety and training to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Apprentice certification required.
• B620 inspector experience is an asset.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Professional and team-oriented.
• Experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.

• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.

Location: Sarnia, ON

Pay Range: $26-$36 / hour based off experience

Your Role:

As part of our team, you’ll:

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
