Job summary

ATCO Structures is hiring an Apprentice Electrician for its Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. Under a Journeyperson, you will wire modular units from rough-in to finishing and support wiring units, panels, and fixtures as part of a safety-focused team.

Ideal candidates are Registered Apprentice Electricians with blueprint reading skills and the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools in a day shift setting, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Registered Apprentice Electrician required.
• Experience with modular units is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and or wiring modular units from rough-in, to finishing.
• Assisting in and or installation of wiring units, panels, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoot and test all electrical wiring units and fixtures in modular units.
• Perform quality inspections and inspect tools and the shop.
• Use hands and power tools.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

ATCO Structures is looking to hire an Apprentice Electrician to join our Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. Under the guidance of a Lead Hand or Journeyperson, the Apprentice Electrician is responsible for the wiring of modular units from rough to finishing.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting and or wiring modular units from rough-in, to finishing
• Assisting in and or installation of wiring units, panels, and fixtures
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoot and test all electrical wiring units and fixtures in modular units.
• Perform quality inspections and inspect tools and the shop.
• Use hands and power tools.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Registered Apprentice Electrician
• Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as materials.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
