Job summary

ATCO Structures is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. Under the guidance of a Lead Hand or Journeyperson, the Apprentice Electrician is responsible for wiring modular units from rough-in to finishing.

You will read drawings, install wiring panels and fixtures, and troubleshoot electrical systems while adhering to safety standards. This entry-level role offers growth within a diverse, inclusive workforce and opportunities to work on exciting modular

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Apprentice Electrician with the ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Experience reading drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications is a plus.
• Ability to work safely with hand and power tools in a modular manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist and wire modular units from rough-in to finishing.
• Assist in installation of wiring units, panels, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoot and test all electrical wiring units and fixtures in modular units.
• Perform quality inspections and inspect tools and the shop.
• Use hands and power tools.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Apprentice Electrician

ATCO Structures is looking to hire an Apprentice Electrician to join our Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. Under the guidance of a Lead Hand or Journeyperson, the Apprentice Electrician is responsible for the wiring of modular units from rough to finishing.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting and or wiring modular units from rough-in, to finishing
• Assisting in and or installation of wiring units, panels, and fixtures
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoot and test all electrical wiring units and fixtures in modular units.
• Perform quality inspections and inspect tools and the shop.
• Use hands and power tools.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Registered Apprentice Electrician
• Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as materials.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
