Job summary

Skyline Living is seeking an experienced maintenance/cleaning professional to support residential properties in the Parksville region. You will perform cleaning, repairs and upkeep across multiple sites, ensuring high standards and safety compliance.

Requirements include 3–5 years of experience, a relevant college diploma, and a valid driver’s license. On-site work with on-site housing options is available for this role.

Qualifications

3 years to less than 5 years of experience in building maintenance or cleaning.
College certificate or diploma (1–2 years) in a related field.
Criminal record check required.
Own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
Advertise vacancies and show apartments to prospective tenants.
Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
Perform minor repairs on appliances.
Perform safety and security checks.
Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
Perform other routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repair.
Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Work with minimal supervision.
Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
