Job summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional in the Greater Toronto Area for a hands-on role across multiple locations. You will process high volumes of vendor invoices, match to POs and freight documents, and code to the correct GL accounts and departments.

The position includes weekly payment runs and maintaining vendor data with strong internal controls. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in AP, solid ERP experience, and exceptional organizational skills to meet deadlines

• Strong spreadsheet skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Hands‑on ERP experience and solid understanding of AP processes and internal controls.

About the Opportunity

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices across multiple locations, matching each to purchase orders, contracts, freight documentation, and approvals, then coding to the correct general ledger accounts, departments, and business units.
• Prepare weekly payment runs by EFT, wire, and cheque in line with agreed terms, while maintaining vendor master data and resolving invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account reconciliations with suppliers and carriers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger, prepare month-end accruals for outstanding invoices and freight costs, and support the year-end close and external audit with clear documentation.

About You

• An accounting professional with at least 2 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Strong in spreadsheet analysis, including pivot tables and lookups, with hands‑on ERP experience and a solid grasp of AP processes and internal controls.
• Organized and accurate under competing deadlines, comfortable working independently, and able to build good working relationships with operations, logistics, and accounting colleagues as well as external vendors.

Pay Range

$26 - $27 per hour
