Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a Finance Operations Leader to guide a regional AR and AP team across Canada and the US. You will set performance goals, run one-on-ones, and build accountability for daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables in both functions.

You will own aged AR and aged AP reporting, create a full KPI framework covering collections effectiveness, DSO, DPO, dispute resolution, and payment accuracy, and report trends and risks to senior finance leadership on a regular cadence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AR and/or AP with supervision experience.
• Experience reporting KPIs to senior leadership.
• Experience with SOP development, process documentation, and internal controls.

About the Opportunity

• Lead and develop a team of AR and AP professionals across Canada and the US, setting performance goals, running one‑on‑ones, and building accountability for daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables across both functions
• Own aged AR and aged AP reporting and a full KPI framework covering collections effectiveness, DSO, DPO, dispute resolution, and payment accuracy, reporting trends and risk areas to senior finance leadership on a regular cadence
• Drive process improvement and automation across cash application, collections, and vendor payment workflows, including leading the selection and rollout of a new AP tracking and approvals system and partnering with IT on AI‑driven automation for cash posting and collections outreach

About You

• A finance operations leader with 5+ years in AR and/or AP, including experience supervising a team, ideally across multiple locations or regions
• Comfortable building and reporting on KPIs, and confident presenting performance updates and reporting trends to senior leadership
• Advanced Excel skills paired with experience leading system implementations or automation projects, plus a working knowledge of SOP development, process documentation, and internal controls

Pay Range

$95,000 - $100,000 per year

This position for employment is for a current vacancy with Vaco/Highspring’s client. You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
