Job summary

Medavie Health Services Island EMS seeks a Fleet Maintenance/Runner to ensure a safe, well-maintained fleet and provide high-quality staff and customer service from the Charlottetown fleet centre. The role involves base maintenance, stock management, and driving to service locations across the province.

Applicants should have a 12th grade education, a Class 4 license (or willingness to obtain), and strong physical coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Valid Class 4 license, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or inventory control is an asset.
• Good dexterity, health, eyesight and coordination.
• Driver's abstract within last 60 days.
• Criminal record check within last 60 days.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Professionalism and initiative in decision making.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear steel-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ambulances and support units to safety and readiness standards.
• Manage inventories of parts, supplies, and cleaning materials.
• Perform base and vehicle maintenance with supervision.
• Drive company vehicles to bases and service locations as needed.
• Ensure vehicles and bays are stocked, clean, and secure.
• Support quarterly inspections and respond to operational directions.
