Medacom Atlantic is seeking Communication Officers for its Charlottetown base. You will handle 911 calls, provide Emergency Medical Dispatch instructions, and coordinate EMS resources in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently seeking Communication Officers for our Charlottetown base. Medacom Atlantic is a subsidiary of Medavie Health Services, and operates as Prince Edward Island’s Primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP); answering all 911 calls for the province. Medacom Atlantic provides emergency and non-emergency dispatch service for Island EMS (ground ambulance) and 34 volunteer fire departments across the Island. We operate fast-paced communications, community support services, and 911 emergency medical care on Prince Edward Island.
Medacom Atlantic provides a 10-week paid training program that instills confidence, high-skilled communication techniques, and proper procedure for every emergency situation.
If you are successful throughout our recruitment process, you must be capable of achieving your Emergency Medical Dispatching license with Priority Dispatch.
