Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to help shape how AI reasons about software risk. You will analyze security scenarios, evaluate vulnerabilities, and contribute to secure coding practices.

This remote, hourly contract role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to influence AI research labs. You will create and validate security-focused datasets and provide expert feedback to improve AI security reasoning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in application, product, or software security.
• Solid familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities found in production environments.
• Able to distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical or low-impact risk.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain security reasoning clearly and systematically.
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic application security scenarios involving code, APIs, and system behavior.
• Classify and evaluate vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic issues.
• Assess secure coding practices and remediation strategies for accuracy and completeness.
• Create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI how to assess and prioritize application risk.
• Provide structured, expert-level feedback that directly improves AI security reasoning.
