Job summary

Genesys offers an internship/co-op in Toronto focused on AI-enhanced QA for WEM. You will craft automated tests for UI and backend services, build pipelines, and apply GenAI to accelerate testing and code quality.

This hybrid role runs 8 to 16 months beginning May/June 2027, with 1–2 days per week in the downtown Toronto office. You’ll work with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, REST APIs, AWS AI, and observability tools, learning from senior engineers while contributing to product quality for

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java or Python.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium or Playwright preferred.
• Interest or experience in GenAI and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enhanced automated tests for UIs and microservices.
• Develop and evolve automated testing pipelines for quality validation.
• Apply GenAI tools to accelerate debugging, test development, and refactoring.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, maintainability, and coverage.
• Collaborate with engineers to strengthen automation and quality practices.
