Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Software Developer in Test intern to help strengthen the quality of Genesys Cloud WEM through AI-enhanced automated testing. You will work with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, and AWS AI tools to build reliable, scalable test pipelines and contribute to observability dashboards.

You will learn from senior engineers and collaborate across teams to improve testing coverage, software quality, and release confidence while exploring GenAI-enabled development practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java or Python and object-oriented languages.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Git.
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, automation, or quality engineering fundamentals.
• Interest or experience in GenAI, prompt engineering, AI-assisted software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enhanced automated tests for UIs and backend microservices to improve coverage and release confidence.
• Develop and evolve automated testing pipelines for reliable quality validation across Genesys Cloud WEM.
• Apply GenAI tools to accelerate debugging, test development, and code refactoring.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, maintainability, and security.
• Build data-rich dashboards and defect analysis to surface quality trends.
• Investigate performance and software behavior using testing and observability tools.
• Drive quality across the lifecycle by creating meaningful tests and evidencing results.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to strengthen automation and engineering practices.
