Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Software Developer in Test intern/co-op to help build and validate cloud-based software on AWS. You will contribute across design, implementation, testing, automation, and verification, working in an agile, hybrid Toronto environment.

You will gain hands-on experience with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, and AWS, collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver production-quality services while learning best practices in software quality and automation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Java or Python.
• Basic experience with software testing concepts, design, debugging, or automated testing.
• Interest in the full software development lifecycle and continuous learning.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and sprint-based work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and collaboration with developers and QA teams.
• Exposure to Selenium or Playwright is a plus; AWS knowledge is beneficial.
• Interest in CI/CD pipelines and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify high-quality software across the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve quality and coverage.
• Build and enhance automated test pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Validate resilient, scalable cloud applications on AWS.
