Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Software Developer Intern/Co-op in Test to join the Agent Development team in Toronto. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, writing code and test automation in a hybrid, collaborative setting.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, and AWS while working in an agile environment with experienced engineers to deliver production-quality services.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or similar language.
• Basic experience with software testing concepts and automated testing.
• Interest in full lifecycle software development and agile practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify high quality full‑stack software across the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve quality and coverage.
• Build and enhance automated test pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Validate resilient, scalable cloud applications on AWS.
• Investigate and debug issues with engineers and QA partners.
• Explore modern testing approaches and technologies to strengthen automation.
• Demonstrate ownership of software quality in design discussions and risk identification.
