Job summary
Softline Technology Inc. is seeking a UX/UI/Product Designer in Toronto, Ontario to design intuitive, accessible interfaces and AI-assisted workflows.
You will translate business requirements into user-centered designs, create wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate with product owners, developers and curriculum experts to deliver end-to-end user experiences across desktop and mobile. Qualifications
- Experience as a UX designer, UI designer, product designer or similar role.
- Experience designing user interfaces for web-based applications.
- Experience creating user journeys, service blueprints, process flows, wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Experience designing responsive applications for desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Experience translating business and user requirements into user-centred designs.
- Experience designing intuitive workflows for complex business processes.
- Experience applying a product mindset and user-centred delivery approach through discovery, design, validation, release and continuous improvement.
- Experience working within agile product teams to define MVPs, validate assumptions and support roadmaps.
- Experience developing personas, user groups, journey maps, task flows and user-needs statements.
- Experience designing end-to-end services, including digital and non-digital interactions, notifications, support processes and exception scenarios.
- Experience validating concepts and solutions through prototypes prior to development.
- Experience designing AI-assisted user experiences and workflows.
- Experience designing interfaces that support human review and approval of AI-generated content.
- Experience designing applications compliant with accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG).
- Experience applying Ontario Design System or similar standards.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems, patterns and reusable UI components.
- Experience embedding privacy and security by design principles into UX design.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces.
- Design AI-assisted workflows that support information gathering, analysis, planning, and content development activities.
- Design user experiences that clearly support human review, validation and approval of AI-generated content.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, process flows and design specifications.
- Conduct user research, interviews, workshops and usability testing
- Translate business requirements into user-centered designs.
- Design and test experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers and curriculum experts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather user feedback and continuously improve designs based on testing and business needs.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and support inclusive user experiences.
- Create and maintain design documentation, design systems and reusable UI components.
- Elicit, document and validate business requirements, user needs and process requirements.
- Analyze current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop user stories, use cases, business rules and functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements and build consensus.
- Support requirements traceability and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
