Job summary

Paralucent Inc. is seeking a UX Designer with 5+ years in UX/UI design to craft intuitive AI-powered experiences in a public-sector context.

You’ll work in an Agile environment, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and translate complex requirements into user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes. Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience.
• Strong experience working in Agile project environments.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
• Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and user requirements.
• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and working with product backlogs.
• Experience designing AI-powered solutions, AI assistants, chat platforms or comparable technologies.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, curious and self-directed, with the ability to work independently and take ownership without constant direction.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive user experiences for AI-powered solutions, including AI assistants, chat platforms and agentic solutions.
• Partner closely with clients and stakeholders, including business, product, development and project teams, to understand objectives and delivery priorities.
• Gather, analyse and document business and user requirements.
• Translate requirements into delivery-ready artefacts, including user journeys, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, prototypes and UX designs.
• Support product backlog management, including the creation, refinement, prioritisation and ongoing management of backlog items.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure UX and business requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
• Conduct user research and incorporate user feedback into designs and requirements.
• Research emerging AI and UX trends and apply relevant approaches to improve the user experience.
• Own UX and requirements deliverables, ensuring documentation is clear, complete and aligned to business and user needs.
