Source Code is seeking a Senior UX Designer for a 6-month onsite role in Toronto. The designer will craft accessible interfaces, AI-assisted workflows, and user-centered experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Responsibilities include research, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems. Collaboration with product owners and developers to ensure alignment with business goals and accessibility standards.

Competenze

• Experience designing applications that comply with AODA and WCAG.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience as UX Designer, UI Designer, Product Designer or similar role.

RQ11639 - UX Designer - Senior

6-month contract - possible 1 term extension

ONSITE 5 days - Toronto

Must-haves:

• Experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Product Designer or similar role.
• Experience designing applications that comply with AODA and WCAG
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools.

Nice-to-have (Highly preferred):

• Experience designing AI-enabled applications, AI assistants, AI agents or conversational interfaces.
• Experience within the Ontario Public Service or broader public sector.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces
• Design AI-assisted workflows that support information gathering, analysis, planning, and content development activities.
• Design user experiences that clearly support human review, validation and approval of AI-generated content.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, process flows and design specifications.
• Conduct user research, interviews, workshops and usability testing
• Translate business requirements into user-centered designs.
• Design and test experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers and curriculum experts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Gather user feedback and continuously improve designs based on testing and business needs.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and support inclusive user experiences.
• Create and maintain design documentation, design systems and reusable UI components.
• Elicit, document and validate business requirements, user needs and process requirements.
• Analyze current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop user stories, use cases, business rules and functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements and build consensus.
• Support requirements traceability and ensure solutions align with business objectives
