Job summary

The YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador invites applications for the After Day Play Program Staff position at Placentia Regional YMCA. This part-time contract role runs weekdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from September 2026 through June 2027, providing direct leadership to children and coordinating daily programming.

Qualified applicants are 16 years or older, with experience in child development or youth recreation and CPR/First Aid. A clear criminal records check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Relevant experience and/or training in child development, children's programming and youth recreation programs.
• Experience working with children or youth in a recreational setting.
• Emergency First Aid and CPR.
• Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Checks are reviewed on an individual basis.

Join Our Team

We are seeking After Day Play Program Staff to provide assistance and coordination of daily children's programming. Providing direct leadership to children, participation and engagement in programs and modelling service excellence. This is a contract position from Monday to Friday generally from 2pm to 5pm at the Placentia Regional YMCA from September 2026 to June 2027.
