YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth is seeking an enthusiastic After School Program Staff for Community Y. You will supervise children after school, lead fun, age-appropriate activities, and help create a welcoming, safe environment.
Under the Program Coordinator, you’ll assist with attendance, registrations, and uphold YMCA safeguarding policies, and model positive behavior to support children’s social and physical development.

Position Status: Part Time(15 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 2:30 – 5:30pm)
Compensation: $16.75 perhour

Reporting to the Community Y Program Coordinator, the AfterSchool Program Staff plays a vital role in the YMCA's mission to support andnurture children and youth in the community. This position involves directsupervision of youth, creating engaging activities, and fostering a safeenvironment for children enrolled in the after-school program. The staff willsupport children in developing social, emotional, and physical skills through avariety of fun, structured activities, including arts and crafts, sports,homework help, and group games. The goal is to create a welcoming, inclusiveatmosphere where every child feels supported and valued.
