Job summary

The YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador is hiring After Day Play Program Staff for the Central Labrador YMCA. This part-time, contract role runs Monday to Friday, typically 2pm–5pm, from September 2026 to June 2027, at an hourly wage of $18.00.

The role focuses on assisting and coordinating daily children\'s programming, providing leadership to children, and modelling service excellence in a recreational setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Relevant experience and/or training in child development, children\'s programming and youth recreation programs
• Experience working with children or youth in a recreational setting
• Emergency First Aid and CPR
• Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Checks are reviewed on an individual basis

Responsibilities

Join Our Team

We are seeking After Day Play Program Staff to provide assistance and coordination of daily children\'s programming. Providing direct leadership to children, participation and engagement in programs and modelling service excellence. This is a contract position from Monday to Friday generally from 2pm to 5pm at the Central Labrador YMCA from September 2026 to June 2027.
