Job summary

FTG Aerospace in Calgary is seeking a Customer Engineering Specialist to configure, modify, and deploy custom solutions using our hardware and software. You will develop applications for airborne platforms in C, analyze real-time aircraft data, and troubleshoot issues to root cause.

You will work with Account Management, the Customer Engineering team, and development staff to deliver reliable, high-value avionics solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis for complex systems.
• Experience with C and embedded/real-time development.
• Fluent English communication for customer-facing contexts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret requirements and third-party docs to develop and deliver solutions.
• Analyze aircraft data to assess correctness and develop validation algorithms.
• Troubleshoot field problems through to root cause and implement robust solutions.
• Write applications for airborne platforms in C to analyze real-time aircraft data.
• Diagnose issues by analyzing aircraft behaviour and flight data across the data pipeline.
• Maintain aircraft data and configurations via ground-based systems.
