Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Advisor, Defense Communications to lead external communications for Bombardier Defense. You will craft press releases, speeches, articles and social media content, coordinating with Marketing, Sales and Government Affairs to advance regional campaigns.

You bring a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field and 2+ years in corporate communications with media relations. Fluency in English and French is required, and you will manage multiple high-visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations with media relations experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and French.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling communications materials that strengthen Bombardier Defense’s position, including general messaging, press releases, articles, speeches and social posts.
• Work with Bombardier Defense teams to advance public relations objectives across regions and campaigns.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Government Affairs and other teams to deliver integrated communications.
• Demonstrate agility in managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international media, identifying opportunities to enhance visibility.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Support responses to media inquiries with professionalism and speed, incorporating SME inputs.
• Align communications initiatives with Bombardier’s strategic objectives and corporate values.
• Engage stakeholders in a collaborative, proactive manner across Bombardier Defense.

• Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support responses to media inquiries with professionalism, speed and rigor, while taking inputs from subject matter experts.

How to thrive in this role?

• Youhold a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations or a related discipline
• You have at least 2 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or related discipline with experience in media relations preferred
• You are an exceptional communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills in both English and French
• You are organized and versatile, with a proven ability to deliver multiple projects in parallel
• You bring strong project management skills and thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
• You demonstrate sound judgment, adaptability, and composure when navigating ambiguity or sensitive situations
• You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
• You are proactive, solution-driven, detail-oriented and eager to learn
• You have experience in aerospace and/or defense (preferred)
