Bombardier Defense seeks a Director - Defense Program Execution to lead full lifecycle program delivery across Canada, the U.S. and international sites.

You will own end-to-end performance, ensure on-time, on-budget execution, and align with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations to meet contractual commitments. You will drive cross-functional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a lean operating model, while managing multi-year programs and a diverse, multi-location team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, engineering or other aerospace relevant field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience at Director or Managerial level within aerospace, defense, or other complex environments.
• 5+ years of Customer facing experience including at higher levels of Industry, Government and Armed services.
• Proven success delivering multi-year, multi-stakeholder aircraft or mission system programs.
• Strong understanding of cost, schedule, risk, and performance management.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments, managing engineering, operations, Supply Chain and In Service.

Responsabilidades

• Own program initiation governance, ensuring commitments are technically, financially, and operationally sound before contract award.
• Oversee production, modification, and aircraft delivery standards in partnership with functional leadership.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to standardize program management frameworks and reporting.
• Recruit, develop and manage a multi-disciplinary team across multiple locations (Canada, USA, international).
• Define and implement a lean, agile operating system for your team in line with Bombardier policies.

As Director - Defense Program Execution at Bombardier Defense, you are responsible for the full lifecycle Program execution once the contract is awarded, and are responsible for its overall success, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-spec delivery while maintaining close alignment with functional teams. The activities may span multiple years. This role exists within a growth area and offers potential to shape the future organization and your role within it.

What are your contributions to the team?

Operational Leadership & Delivery Performance

• Full P&L accountability of a Bombardier Defense program

Cross-Functional Integration & Governance

• Manages a cross-functional team to ensure seamless collaboration across Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Excellence, Quality, and Operations
• Coordinate with the Program Excellence Officer to standardize program management frameworks, performance reporting, and best-practice sharing
• Recruit, develop and manage a highly functional multi-disciplinary team at multiple work locations (Canada, USA and internationally)
• Create and nurture transparent, authentic, and effective communication within the organization through collaborative leadership.
• Define and implement a lean, agile operating system for your team ensuring integration and compliance with Bombardier Policies and Procedures

Customer Engagement

• Accountable for the customer relationship for a given program and act as the prime customer facing representative for a given program.
• Engage with senior customer and prime-contractor stakeholders to ensure alignment on execution.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, engineering or other aerospace relevant field
• You have 15+ years of relevant experience in a similar role at Director or Managerial level within aerospace, defense, or other complex environments
• You have 5+ years of Customer facing experience including at higher levels of Industry, Government and Armed services
• Proven success delivering multi-year, multi-stakeholder aircraft or mission system programs
• Strong understanding of cost, schedule, risk, and performance management
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments, managing engineering, operations, Supply Chain and In Service
• You are recognized for being customer focused and having excellent Customer facing skills.
• You have excellent communication and negotiating skills combined with the ability to understand and interpret technical requirements, financial statements and contractual terms,
• You are recognized for your exceptional leadership and communication abilities to harness the full potential of the organization
• You have a broad yet through understanding of aircraft, their systems, operations and support requirement in a governmental or defense applications
• You have strong commercial acumen to develop compelling value propositions
• You have experience working with Industrial Technical Benefits, Offsets and other localization aspects associated with defense contract opportunities.
• You have the ability to work flexible, extended and/or irregular working hours, together with an ability to travel globally in line with business demands;
• You have working knowledge of Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
