Job summary

The Jean Coutu Group is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Assistant to be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a warm and professional welcome. You will assist in collecting prescription data, preparing prescriptions, and identifying potential issues for customers.

You will also take on mentoring responsibilities for junior staff, contributing to a collaborative, learning-focused pharmacy team. 35 hours or more per week; local schedule and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma as Pharmacy Technical Assistant or Jean Coutu Pharmacy Tech Certification required.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail in prescription preparation and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact with customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Identify customer needs by collecting necessary information for prescriptions.
• Prepare prescriptions and help detect potential issues for customers.
• Mentor and support fellow pharmacy assistants as a role model.

Within your team, your essential role will be:

• be the first contact with the customer, so that they feel comfortable; your welcome, your empathy and your professionalism will be put to good use;
• to identify the customer's needs by collecting the necessary data for prescription preparation;
• to prepare prescriptions and detect potential problems for the customer;
• take on responsibilities related to specialized tasks, such as dispill management, robot management, complex lectures, etc.;
• be a reference for their pharmacy assistant colleagues and act as a mentor.

For this position, you must:
