Job summary

The Jean Coutu Group in Quebec invites you to join our community-focused team as an Advanced Pharmacy Assistant. You will greet customers, assess their needs, and support prescription preparation in a structured, collaborative environment.

If you hold a Pharmacy Technical Assistant diploma (or the Jean Coutu certification) and can communicate in French, you will mentor colleagues, handle specialized tasks, and contribute to safe, efficient service every day.

Qualifications

• Hold a Pharmacy Technical Assistant diploma or the Jean Coutu Pharmacy Technical Assistant certification.
• Fluent in French with very good knowledge.
• Customer-centric approach and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact with customers and make them feel welcome with empathy and professionalism.
• Identify customer needs by collecting data for prescription preparation.
• Prepare prescriptions and detect potential issues for the customer.
• Handle specialized tasks such as dispill management, robot management, and complex lectures.
• Mentor and support pharmacy assistants in the team.

Within your team, your essential role will be:

• be the first contact with the customer, so that they feel comfortable; your welcome, your empathy and your professionalism will be put to good use;
• to identify the customer's needs by collecting the necessary data for prescription preparation;
• to prepare prescriptions and detect potential problems for the customer;
• take on responsibilities related to specialized tasks, such as dispill management, robot management, complex lectures, etc.;
• be a reference for their pharmacy assistant colleagues and act as a mentor.

For this position, you must:

• hold a diploma as a Pharmacy Technical Assistant or hold the Jean Coutu Pharmacy Technical Assistant certification.

• 35 hours or more
• Between 10 hours and 30 hours

French language: Very good knowledge
