Recovery Alberta in Red Deer Regional Hospital is seeking an Administrative Support IV to provide advanced administrative and operational support for Unit 34/36 Adult Inpatient Mental Health and Addictions. Reporting to the Program Manager, Unit 34/36 Adult Inpatient Psychiatry, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support within a fast-paced acute inpatient mental health environment. This position works closely with the Program Manager and supports a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry, Nursing, Mental Health and Addiction staff, and other key stakeholders.Responsibilities include WFM timekeeping and scheduling support, operational and administrative support, Connect Care entry and reporting, program statistics and data collection, supply ordering and inventory coordination, meeting and calendar coordination, records management, and the management of confidential and sensitive information. The position will utilize Microsoft Office applications and other organizational systems to support the day-to-day operations of the inpatient units.Additional responsibilities include data entry, maintaining electronic and paper filing systems, preparing correspondence and reports, supporting staff onboarding and orientation processes, coordinating education and operational requirements, assisting with staffing and scheduling processes, and other related administrative duties as required.The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, professionalism, sound judgement, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a busy and continually changing healthcare environment.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent is required. Completion of a recognized Secretarial, Unit Clerk, Office Administration or Business Administration program, including medical terminology, is required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required, with keyboarding of 70 wpm desired. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Five years of clerical/administrative experience within an organization of significant size and complexity is preferred.
