Alberta Health Services seeks an Administrative Support IV to assist with OR bookings, bed coordination and general office duties at Wetaskiwin Hospital. The role requires advanced administrative skills, independence and confidentiality to support physicians and multiple departments.
Ideal candidates will have Connect Care experience, strong MS Office skills, and at least two years in a healthcare admin setting. This regular part-time position offers a 0.50 FTE with day shifts.
Under limited supervision, this position will provide support to Wetaskiwin Hospital in OR Bookings, Bed Coordination and general office duties. As an Administrative Assistant IV, you will complete functions with minimal supervision and must use own judgment and critical thinking to problem solve. All tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, independence, accountability and confidentiality. Required to perform complex and specialized clerical duties that require extensive knowledge of the portfolio, the organization, policies, procedures and standards. Incumbent will work closely with physician offices as well as multiple departments within the facility. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities all while ensuring safe and appropriate patient care.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. You will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Computer skills including MS Office Suite of products and ability to type 45 WPM. Previous experience with Connect Care. Excellent communication skills. 2 years' experience in an administrative capacity in a health care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years' Connect Care experience. Post-Secondary education in Office Administration or Medical Office Assistant.
