Recovery Alberta is seeking an Administrative Support III to join the Youth Substance Use and Mental Health Services team at the Youth Services Centre. You will handle high-volume administrative tasks, support clinicians and managers, and help maintain patient records and clinic workflows.
You will use Connect Care templates, manage databases, and coordinate appointments while upholding accuracy and confidentiality. Some evening work may be required, with days in a 7.75-hour shift structure.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Youth Substance Use & Mental Health Services – Reporting to the Program Manager the Admin Support III provides administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient operation of a high-volume Child and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health Clinic. The position is part of a small admin team that supports four services. The incumbent provides administrative support to a variety of staff including managers, psychiatrists, addiction counsellors, family counsellors and nursing. The daily tasks of this position vary and require sound judgment and advanced critical thinking, organization, decision making and communication skills. Significant multi-tasking and a comprehensive working knowledge of the Recovery Alberta and AHS systems are required to meet the competing demands of this position. Duties include, but are not limited to, working closely with management to oversee the operation of the clinic, proactively identifying issues and initiating resolution within scope of authority, developing, implementing and evaluating work flow processes, managing Connect Care templates, support physician appointments, taking, creating and closing client charts, taking and directing telephone calls, ordering and maintaining office supplies, acting as a resource to staff on technological and system issues, maintaining databases, photocopying and faxing, and performing general office duties. Some evening work may be required.
Experience working within a substance use/mental health service. ePeople time keeping experience is an asset.
