About the Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Manager of Disability Management, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential support to the OHS&W teams. The role involves integrating Nova Scotia Health's mission, vision, values, and organizational principles into daily support and communication. The main goal is to assist the Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness Team in promoting a healthy, productive, and safe work environment for staff, patients, and managers.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A post-secondary diploma in office or business administration or secretarial studies; an undergraduate degree is an asset.
  • At least two years of relevant administrative support and office coordination experience with multiple stakeholders.
  • IAAP certification is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with enterprise software systems.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and provide recommendations for team activities.
  • Effective drafting skills for documents such as procedures, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Additional language skills, especially French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly wage ranges from $21.51 to $26.88.
