Job summary

Our client in Surrey, BC is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll apply strong accounting fundamentals and professional communication to manage priorities and maintain accurate financial records.

Key duties include invoicing, posting payments, reconciliations, processing supplier invoices, and contributing to month-end close. Experience with Excel and ERP software is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years of accounting experience with AR and collections.
• AR/collections focus with some AP exposure preferred.
• Solid understanding of debits, credits and reconciliations.
• Proficient with Excel; ERP experience (BC BC/Power BI) an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices and apply payments; monitor aging and follow up.
• Process supplier invoices and reconcile vendor statements.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Identify workflow improvements using digital tools and automation.
