Job summary

Air North in Whitehorse seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk to produce and distribute invoices for cargo, ticketing and ground handling, and manage billing for account customers. This role involves operational, processing, and accounting duties in a fast-paced environment during an 18-month term.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience, specifically accounts receivable.
• Diploma in accounting field or equivalent experience.
• Strong sense of accountability and honesty in all tasks.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate, timely invoices and distribute them to customers.
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain billing information and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger.
• Perform daily revenue processing and verification.
• Process write-offs, adjustments, and journal entries as approved.
• Review overdue accounts and suspend accounts as required.
• Contact delinquent customers and perform collections via email/phone.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding charges, copies, and billing questions.
