Job summary

Air North Partnership in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a cargo loader for part-time shifts (20-34 hours per week). You will load and move cargo, prepare manifests and load-planning documents, and assist customers both in the office and around aircraft.

Responsibilities include packing and storing cargo, processing payments, and maintaining high safety and service standards. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and

Role Summary:

Working in Cargo you are responsible for loading and moving cargo while ensuring that manifests and load-planning documents are ready. This is a dynamic role working inside our office helping customers and working outside around our aircrafts!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure cargo is packaged and stored appropriately
• Accept cargo and process accurate payments
• Provide excellent customer service in person or on the phone at all times
• Calculate available aircraft load and prioritize freight
• Verify received freight piece counts and notify receivers of freight shipments

Must haves:

• Valid Drivers License
• Must be physically fit (able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb and lift 70 pounds repetitively)
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, split shifts, weekends, holidays
• A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
• Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
• As per Transport Canada, the individual must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident to be able to screen cargo
