Our client in Burnaby, BC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant (Entry-Level) to support the Credit and AR teams on a temporary 3-month assignment. The role focuses on payments, reconciliations, and routine AR tasks in a professional environment.

Ideal for candidates with 0–2 years in AR or accounting admin, strong Excel skills, and a customer-service mindset. The position is office-based, with SkyTrain access, and requires legal work eligibility in Canada.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting administration, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes, invoice tracking, and payment reconciliation.
• Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Word.
• Excellent customer service and professionaltelephone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to research discrepancies, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Experience in construction or building materials industry would be an asset.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly automatic credit card payments and maintain accurate payment records.
• Handle incoming customer calls related to credit card payment transactions.
• Research EFT payments to ensure accurate posting to customer accounts.
• Assist AR team with verifying customer invoice information and reconciling high-volume customer accounts.
• Investigate invoices, account discrepancies, and payment disputes.
• Prepare clear and accurate account reconciliations, biweekly and monthly reporting.
• Track progress billing invoices and maintain up-to-date records.
• Perform intercompany account reconciliations.
• Provide general administrative support, including filing and documentation.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as required.
