Job summary

Inland Truck & Equipment, Langley, BC, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a 15-month, full-time assignment at our sales and service dealership. Responsibilities include answering AR calls, processing invoices, credit applications, and maintaining customer files in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform data entry, prepare statements, and support Customer Service. A high school diploma and 1+ year college certificate are preferred, with 2–5 years AR experience beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year certificate from college or business school preferred.
• Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accurate data entry with good speed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge as it relates to Accounts Receivable.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Good telephone etiquette and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Answers all telephone calls into Accounts Receivable and dispatches accordingly.
• Handles all invoice email requests.
• Gathers information and processes new account credit applications.
• Maintains credit files and safeguards customer information.
• Updates account information across business systems.
• Responds to outside credit reference requests.
• Prints and mails monthly AR statements.
• Processes daily Daysheets and Journal Vouchers.
• Provides backup for Customer Service Reps.
• Posts all receivable payments including various items.
• Pulls Credit Bureau information and backup for new accounts.
• Opens approved customer receivable accounts.
• Follows Health & Safety procedures.
