Job summary

Bison Transport Inc is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense claims within a busy Winnipeg finance team.

You will verify invoices, match to purchase orders, post transactions, reconcile vendor statements, and respond to inquiries while upholding confidentiality and supporting continuous process improvements using Great Plains accounting software.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent office experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices and ensure accuracy.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documents.
• Prepare cheque and EFT payment batches for approval and payment.
• Post invoices and payments in the accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally.
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance.
• Reconcile corporate card expenses and supporting documentation.
• Maintain Accounts Payable records and assist with process improvements.
