Job summary

Bison Transport is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Winnipeg. You will handle full-cycle accounts payable, process high-volume invoices, match to POs, and ensure accurate GL coding while upholding internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years AP experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently yet collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable processing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis and reporting, formula creation and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, helping drive operational excellence through process improvements, team support, and special projects. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership and accountability, collaborates effectively with others, actively seeks opportunities for process improvement, and demonstrates the initiative and leadership potential to positively support and influence those around them.
