Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services in Toronto is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to manage processing, coding, and invoicing in our accounting system. You will review entries, prevent duplicates, and disburse payments by cheques, EFTs, and ACH, while ensuring GST/HST compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and familiarity with QuickBooks. Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and be eligible to work in Canada.

• 3 Years of AP Experience.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable.
• Review expense coding.
• Enter invoices to accounting software.
• Review for duplicate entries.
• Process checks or EFT payments.
• Ensure GST is properly accounted for.
• Maintain HST accounts.
• Reconcile subledger to General Ledger.
• Process invoices for payment by cheques/EFTs and ACH; obtain approvals and investigate differences.
• Monitor and report findings for all AP aging reports.
• Ensure accurate processing of all transactions per procedures.
• Communicate via reports, emails, calls, presentations, meetings, etc.
• Communicate with vendors to verify information related to Accounts Payables.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professionalism with internal and external vendors.

About the Opportunity

• Monitoring and reporting findings to management for all Accounts Payable aging reports.
• Ensure accurate processing of all transactions in accordance with company procedures and policies.
• Ensure effective written and verbal communications via all channels including but not limited to reports, emails, calls, presentations, meetings, etc.
• Communicate with vendors to verify, gather or request information related to Accounts Payables.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professionalism when responding to internal and external vendors

Pay Range

$22 - $24 / hour
