Job Title: Accountant – Accounts Payable

Our client in Peel Region, ON is actively seeking an Accountant – Accounts Payable to join their team.

Purpose: Full cycle of Accounts Payable processes.

Reporting Relationships:

The position reports to the Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process general AP invoices daily.
• Handle high-volume invoice processing in a fast-paced environment, managing at least 50 invoices per day.
• Ensure timely payments via cheques and EFT.
• Provide customer service and manage vendor-specific requirements.
• Reconcile credit card statements.
• Prepare journal entries as needed.
• Process month-end accruals.
• Assist and back up other accounting team members.
• Support other duties or special projects as assigned.
• Enhance internal controls and automate processes where possible.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with MS Dynamics is an asset.
