Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Accountant, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monthly invoice processing and assisting in the day-to-day financial administration of the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process and code invoices for accounts payable;
• Provide expense report support;
• Process payments for vendors on a weekly basis (cheques, EFTs, and wire transfers);
• Prepare monthly accrual schedules;
• Process intercompany invoices, reconcile intercompany balances, and prepare cash calls for mine sites and projects;
• Perform bank reconciliations;
• Prepare and update prepaid schedules;
• Assist with period-end close and financial reporting processes;
• Support various reporting functions, including journal entries, general ledger account analysis, cash reconciliation, and special projects;
• Provide documentation support for internal and external audits;
• Perform other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role (preferred);
• Accounting accreditation or working towards one (preferred);
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (asset);
• Strong attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
