Strathcona County is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to support Treasury Services with invoice processing, payment coordination, and discrepancy resolution. The role includes PCard program administration, training, and reporting to ensure compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Demonstrated accounts payable or transaction processing experience in a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, policies and compliance in accounts payable.
• Experience using ticketing management systems is an asset.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with multiple deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with vendors and partners.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.

Responsabilités

• Process and coordinate accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
• Review invoices, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment issues with vendors.
• Maintain accurate financial records to support reporting integrity.
• Support cash flow by ensuring timely payments.
• Provide administrative support for the PCard program, including distribution and reporting.
• Deliver guidance and training related to PCard usage and controls.
• Compile accounts payable and PCard reports for finance leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes and treasury controls.
• Collaborate with finance teams to apply financial policies consistently.
• Work with vendors to ensure accurate payment processing and issue resolution.
