Job summary

Vista Radio is hiring a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk in Courtenay, BC to join the Finance team. You will manage a high-volume AP inbox, enter invoices into the ERP, maintain payment journals, and support audit readiness. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

The role requires at least two years of AP experience, familiarity with accounting software (Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus), and the ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of accounts payable or related finance experience.
• Experience with accounting systems; Dynamics 365 BC is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support across the Finance department.
• Support day-to-day finance activities including vendor record maintenance and aging.
• Process financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

• Support payroll-related tasks such as timesheet coordination and data prep.
• Prepare reports and data summaries using strong Excel skills.
• Monitor shared Finance inboxes and escalate as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and provide backup support.

About the Job:

Vista Radio has an immediate opening for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk, based in Courtenay, BC.

What you’ll do

• Manage a high-volume accounts payable inbox and enter vendor invoices into the ERP system
• Maintain accurate payment journals and documentation to support audit readiness
• Provide administrative and transactional support across the Finance department
• Support day-to-day finance activities including vendor record maintenance, accounts payable aging, and general accounting tasks
• Process financial transactions and data entry within the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with billing support and account reconciliations as assigned
• Provide administrative support related to payroll, including timesheet coordination and data preparation
• Prepare reports and data summaries to support Finance operations, using strong Excel skills
• Monitor shared Finance inboxes and respond to routine requests, escalating issues as needed
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Provide backup support for Finance team members during vacations, leaves, or peak periods
• Other finance-related administrative duties as assigned

What you Bring

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related finance role
• Experience working with accounting systems is required; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with vendors and internal departments
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the Finance team
• Ability to handle financial information with professionalism and discretion
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility based on individual and operational needs

Salary Range

$45,000 to $55,000, based on experience
