Cascadia Metals Ltd. in Delta, BC, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work out of the Dennett Place branch. You will handle a high volume of vendor invoices, reimbursements, and monthly card reconciliations, while keeping records organized and supporting year-end audits.

This entry-level role suits someone with administrative experience or an accounting diploma, offering growth, a strong Office suite skillset, and a comprehensive benefits package. Hours are 8:00–16:30, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or diploma in accounting.
• Ability to communicate with customers by phone or computer.
• Willingness to learn new computer programs and processes.
• Good data entry skills and typing ability.
• Bookkeeping skills a plus, with strong Word/Excel proficiency.
• Excellent English reading, writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices daily with accurate coding.
• Process employee expense reimbursements and supporting docs.
• Process and reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements.
• Verify and update vendor information.
• Prepare and process cheque runs per payment schedules.
• Review vendor statements and reconcile outstanding items.
• Maintain organized accounting records and files.
• Assist with year-end audit documentation.
• Perform other accounting and related duties as assigned.
• Shift 8:00-4:30pm Monday - Friday.

Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk to work out of Dennett Place branch. In this position you will be performing accounting and other administrative duties. This is a great entry level accounting position for someone who has administrative experience, or a diploma in accounting. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices daily, ensuring accuracy, appropriate coding, and timely entry.
• Process employee expense reimbursement reports and supporting documentation.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit card statements on a monthly basis
• Verify and update vendor information.
• Prepare and process cheque runs according to established payment schedules.
• Review vendor statements, reconcile outstanding items, follow up on missing invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements, including gathering and preparing requested documentation.
• Perform other accounting and some administrative duties as assigned.
• Shift 8:00-4:30pm Monday - Friday

Requirements

• Post-Secondary education.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers on a telephone or computer.
• Strong background in computer operations and ability to learn new computer programs.
• Must have good data entry skills.
• Bookkeeping skills a plus.
• Must have excellent typing skills
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Proficient in English language communication skills-reading, writing, and speaking.
