Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Project Accountant in Edmonton, AB, to support the accounting team by handling accounts payable and receivable for multiple construction projects. The role reports to the Controller and is based in the Edmonton South Office.

Key duties include processing project billings, coordinating with project managers on change orders, preparing month-end WIP reports, and assisting with revenue forecasts and audits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years accounting experience.
• Strong A/R and A/P background in construction or high-volume environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable for construction projects.
• Prepare month-end WIP reports and revenue forecasts for project portfolios.
• Review invoices, subcontract changes, and approvals; ensure accuracy.
• Support audits and ensure CSOX and IFRS compliance.
