Description

You are a driven and detail-oriented individual looking to build your experience in Accounts Payable within a large, complex corporate environment. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry of data, as well as reporting within the company financial systems.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements and obtaining authorization of payment
  2. Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions
  3. Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls and secures financial information by keeping information confidential
  4. Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information
  5. Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents
  6. Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
  7. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments
  8. Responds to internal and external accounts payable inquiries
  9. Reconciles vendor statements and follows up to resolve any discrepancies
  10. Collaborates with business units to troubleshoot and find solutions to accounts payable issues
  11. Ensures adherence to internal controls and policies
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years' accounts payable experience
  2. Previous office experience, with an affinity for data and numbers; a background in accounts payable processing is a significant asset
  3. Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, and ability to quickly learn new software
  4. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  5. Highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
  7. Self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Conditions:
  • This is a hybrid role, working both from home and attending the office at least once a week or as needed
Compensation

$43,600 - $59,950 annually. This range is indicative; individual pay is based on experience, skills, education, and location.
