Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist in the Greater Toronto Area to maintain vendor accounts, verify invoices, and post payments. The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems, preferably MS Navision.

You will handle tax filings, ensure timely disbursements, and prepare electronic transfers and intercompany invoicing, contributing to accurate monthly closings and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with AP processing and communicating with vendors (Full Cycle)
• Month end reconciliations
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Experience with large ERP systems, ideally MS Navision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain Accounts Payable vendor accounts
• Match, verify and post invoices to Vendor accounts promptly
• Investigate variances and ensure accuracy of invoice quantities and pricing
• Handle HST and US tax filings; ensure discounts are taken
• Prepare packages for disbursement approval
• Prepare vendors’ electronic funds transfer files and some cheques
• Reconcile and post UPS and Customs invoices
• Prepare required intercompany invoices

About the Opportunity

• Maintain Accounts Payable vendor accounts
• Match, verify and post all invoices to Vendor accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Investigate variances and ensure accuracy of all invoice quantities and pricing prior to payment processing.
• Handling HST and US tax filings Ensure all available discounts are taken.
• Timely preparation of complete packages for approval of disbursements batches.
• Prepare vendors’ electronic funds transfer files and a limited number of cheques
• Reconcile and post all Company UPS and Customs invoices
• Prepare any required intercompany invoices

About You

• 3+ years of previous experience with AP processing and communicating with vendors (Full Cycle)
• Month end reconciliations
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Experience with large ERP systems, ideally MS Navision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range

$25 - $29 / hour

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
