Job description

Our client is a fast-growing leading retail group with a vast and expanding portfolio of partnerships. They are establishing space across 4 provinces, with their head office in Toronto, where this role will be based. The company's growth strategies include opening more brick-and-mortar stores and expanding further across multiple provinces. With a strong vision and brand strategy, they aim to become the leading retailer in every category and province.

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Senior Controller and will oversee the management of the accounting department. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements and preparing reports for upper management. Although there is currently no direct supervision, the department's growth plans are extensive. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Accountant with proven experience in key accounting practices, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to multitask independently, meet deadlines, and handle time commitments effectively.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-4+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Must be a Canadian CPA.
• Strong knowledge of retail and real estate sectors is highly advantageous.
• Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a multitasking environment, demonstrating resilience, passion, and commitment.
