As our Accounting Manager, you'll lead core accounting operations while helping evolve the financial systems, processes, and insights that guide our business forward.

This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in Canada while shaping how a mission-driven SaaS company manages its financial health.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll own the end-to-end accounting cycle, from closing the books to managing AR, improving tooling, and partnering across teams to support accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who enjoys navigating operational complexity, spotting opportunities to streamline processes, and bringing clarity to financial data.

Your Role & Impact

Our Finance team is focused on scaling effectively, speeding up operations, and delivering timely, decision-ready financial insights.

As Accounting Manager, you'll oversee core accounting functions including month-end close, AR and revenue workflows, reporting accuracy, and automation initiatives. You'll collaborate with Sales, RevOps, and Engineering to improve data quality and reporting reliability.

This role is broad, highly visible, and central to understanding and managing financial performance, with opportunities to shape scalable systems and processes.

What You'll Do

Lead Core Accounting Activities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, from journal entries to close and reporting
• Own accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and AR ledger management
• Support cash flow forecasting, tax compliance, and audits
• Maintain and improve internal controls and policies
• Assist with payroll and implementation projects (e.g., US payroll)

Improve Process & Data Integrity

• Shorten month-end close and improve financial output quality
• Enhance clarity and consistency of financial reports
• Partner with RevOps and Sales to improve Salesforce data and revenue tracking
• Implement automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce errors

Enable Better Business Decisions

• Prepare monthly financial reports with actionable insights
• Support leaders in interpreting financial data for decision-making
• Lay the groundwork for more robust FP&A capabilities

Collaborate & Coach

• Work with our Accounting Specialist on AP, payroll, and tooling
• Mentor and share knowledge to support development
• Serve as a thought partner to the Director of Finance

Experience & Skills You Bring

Accounting Operations & Controls: Experience in tech or SaaS companies, managing end-to-end accounting cycles, closing books, and overseeing revenue, cash flow, and controls, preferably in companies earning over $15M annually. Familiar with AR, invoicing, collections, audits, and external partnerships.

Systems & Tools: Proficient with cloud-based accounting software like Xero, Dext, Stripe, and interested in automation and AI applications in finance.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Impact: Experience working with RevOps, Sales, or CS teams, translating financial data into actionable insights, and influencing through trust and clarity.

Credentials & Orientation: CPA, MBA, or similar, with strong external relationships, integrity, and collaboration skills.
