Job Description :

Our client is a fast-growing leading retail group with a vast portfolio of partnerships that is continuously expanding. Their head office is in Toronto, where this role will be based. The company is establishing space across 4 provinces and plans further expansion, including new brick-and-mortar stores and multi-provincial growth. With a strong vision and brand strategy, they aim to become the leading retailer in every category and province.

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Senior Controller and will be responsible for managing the accounting department. This includes reviewing financial statements and preparing reports for upper management. Although currently there is no direct supervision, the department is expected to grow significantly. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accountant with extensive experience in accounting practices, strong administrative skills, and the ability to multitask and work independently under deadlines.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum of 3-4+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Must hold a Canadian CPA designation.
• Experience in retail and real estate sectors is highly advantageous.
• Self-starter with quick learning ability, able to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate resilience, passion, and commitment to results.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in large corporate, publicly traded organizations, or industry-specific roles in private companies.
