Manager, Accounting
Location: Toronto (Hybrid 3 days in office)
Salary: $85,000 $95,000 + benefits

We're recruiting on behalf of a consumer goods company based in Toronto. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role in the team.

About the Role:
As Manager, Accounting, you'll report directly to the CFO and oversee a Staff Accountant. You'll be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance (including Canadian and U.S. sales tax), while ensuring adherence to ASPE accounting standards.

What You'll Do:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports

• Manage compliance with ASPE and taxation requirements (Canada & U.S. state sales tax)

• Support external audits and liaise with auditors

• Supervise one direct report (Staff Accountant)

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations

What We're Looking For:

• CPA designation (preferred)

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Industry experience in retail, eCommerce, wholesale apparel, or consumer goods preferred

• Strong knowledge of ASPE and tax compliance

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a lean team environment
